so, why another blog, because i have stuff i want to say.
(was going to make it 'need' to say, but don't know if it's that strong.)
mostly i'm worried, and concerned.
also out of work and 56, but that's besides the worried and concerned.
three things have happened in the last week, that bother me, and it might help (me) to put them out in the ether.

#1. met a kid, 19, last night who could just play guitar like nothing. he was really good.
playing blues, but mixing in new stuff, (first time i've heard 'tapping' used in a blues solo, that sounded like it fit)
really good player.
talking afterwards and he mentioned he was on facebook. (isn't everyone)
looked him up this morning, and there he is...
same funky hat, same strat, but...
his site had all the required stuff for a young guitar player, cool hip tv shows, favorite movies.
and quotes, of course quotes...
b.b. king, yea, can't go wrong with the Blues Boy
and anne coulter.
anne coulter, oh please...
goes on to list himself as a conservative christian.
no problem there, but adds that he is what 'socialist liberals' would call a 'neo con'.
name calling, of complete strangers... must be the Rush influence.
there there are the groups he belongs to:
- Rush Limbaugh (thought so)
- I HATE OBAMA!!! (yea, good christian there, hate the president? not cool)
- reagan conservative (i don't think RR would 'hate' obama, not really)

which brings us to item
#2.
i had to defriend my first person on facebook this past week.
i knew this guy was a conservative, no surprise on that one, but i had met him in a situation that was conducive to being nice, and friendly, and ignoring the things he said that dealt with politics.
but, last week, the day after Ted Kennedy died, he put some really mean, nasty mean, comment about ted.
i didn't call him on it, but i just took him off my list.
wasn't a rash decision, but i just don't have time for people who are that insensitive.
i mean, if you're putting it on the internet, you basically putting it out there for all to see.
and that was just not right. (no, i'm often 'not right' but that was beyond innappropriate.

and finally #3.
well all kidding aside, i did mention that i'm 56.
and as of now, i've completely forgotten what #3 was going to be.
